Subject: Shifter linkage cup and balll question
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

Hi,

While cleaning the shift linkage I found out there was quite some play between the ball and the cup near the transmission. Will replacing the ball-part be sufficient (it's more like an egg :-), or should the cup also be replaced? If yes, what is the part number? (I do have the part number of the ball-part).

Apart from that my "home made" short shift kit works fine, as expected still a bit sloppy due to the play further down the line. One item I have to deal with is the length of the sleave under the pivot-ball, which is about 3mm too long, resulting in getting in reverse too easy.
