If yer talking about the combi-relay that runs the fuel injection, the 76 model did not have a California or a Federal Model (that didn't happen until the 1979-83 model years.

Yours should be an 11 terminal relay. VW 071 906 059, Bosch 0332 514 120

Calif 79-83 Models used a 13 terminal relay.
