Subject: Re: sway bar wiggling

I would hazard a guess that the radius rods are out of position. Is the bolt holding the lower control arm on,tight? Are the nuts and bushings where the radius rod goes through the frame tight? My westy had a bushing here disengagrate, and the radius rod wore a 1 inch hole, to 2 inches in the frame. Every time I stepped on the brake I got a thump from this rod knocking on the frame. I would suspect thatimproper motion in these components can dislodge the sway bar form proper position. Are the two inner sway bar bushings loose? Swap the left inner bushing with the right inner bushing to get new wear points on each bushing.Lastly, the hole in the outter bushing, where the sway bar goes through, is a tight fit.Try lubing the bushing/bar, and squeezeit back in place.Loosen up on the inner bushings first,to do this.Roger
