As I recall one of the issues with ethanol use as a fuel is that some fuel lines were affected by it (detrimentally), causing fuel leaks. Alcohol also attracts water (why you won't find 100% alcohol). I'm guessing that most modern Vanagons (non-aircooled) have fuel lines that aren't affected by alcohol. |
