Dan,
With that itinerary, you'd better think how you are going to handle a lot of
serious heat. The south in the summer is no picnic - it's not Wisconsin!
It will be good and hot by the time you get there.
You might be okay with it, but do think about how your dog will handle heat
as well. Overheated animals are not happy! Maybe ensure you have the
capacity to carry a good bit of ice in case it's a problem - a good
cooler-sized might be a good idea. Makes a reasonable seat and step-stool
for climbing into the upper bunk, too - I use mine those ways all the time,
though I've avoided the south in the summer and haven't needed ice.
Keep the dog in the cooler if it gets really bad? :-)
Joy

:::I will leaving Wisconsin for an approximate two-month trip beginning
:::April
:::2. My dog, buddy, and I will travel to Atlanta, south into Florida for an
:::indefinite period, then will drift west through Alabama, Mississippi,
:::Louisiana
:::and, possibly Texas and Arizona. I plan to visit sites important in our

:::I am asking for your do's and don'ts suggestions for this trip. Anything

:::I have some experience traveling with my 89 Westphalia camper but want
