Hey all,

There's a Syncro Doka on eBay right now:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4624187692

The VIN doesn't look quite right to me: WV2YB0254LH026775

I decode this as a 1991 Vanagon, built in Hannover. Shouldn't it decode as a 1991 Doublecab, built in Graz?

Right on Jeff,

There should be a G in the VIN, not an H. The VIN above denotes a Hannover built vehicle and I understood all syncros were assembled at the Steyer-Puch factory in Graz...along with the last batch of 2WD T3 Transporters.

Also, the front grille & headlights are wrong for a '90 model although I guess someone could have easily changed that for their own reasons. Still I agree, there is something not kosher about this DoKa...

Cheers, Steve O NSW Australia '92 Transporter WBX Kombi (with a G in the VIN) '00 Transporter Double Cab '03 Transporter Double Cab (work truck) '78 Land Rover 109 Series 3 soft top ute (ex-Aust.Army)
