I was the first person to contact him and I posted it to the list so that everyone would know what kind of seller this person is. I buy and sell on eBay all the time, love it. I will deal with this BS and let eBay show this dude who is boss. There is no need for the racial stuff, thumbs down on all of that.

If I remember this correctly the original poster notified the seller he had
a mistake in his ad (trying to be helpful for the sake of accuracy, I
presume) and the guy responded with a threat. At this point the most
appropriate thing would be to notify Ebay and let them handle their business
as they will.
This isn't butting into the seller's business- that system is set up just
for that sort of communication between seller and prospective buyers (the
inquiry, not the threat). It isn't like the listee is on some witch hunt for
ignorant online sellers of Vanagons.
In the larger view, we are members of a society with certain mores
(nevermind the laws that might apply to this.... fraud, perhaps?) and when
we run across somebody trying to screw somebody else, making an effort to
put a stop to it seems only reasonable and appropriate. After all, there's
another jerk waiting in the wings to screw you over, or your kid, or whoever
else might be vulnerable out of ignorance or whatever. Why turn your back
and allow these ***wipes to operate freely? I say kick 'em square in the
nuts if you can. In this case all it takes is an email- small enough effort
to try to make the world a slightly better place, and who knows, it may add
up in the end.
Cya,
Robert
