I'm selling mine and here are my thoughts. Use an online ad that you can run for as long as it takes--it is a widely spread audience and can take a whle to sell. If you put on Craig's list, add a link to photos. Thesamba.com is good but mostly people who read it already have vans. GoWesty.com is worse. I am using Autotrader. I advertised a car on Cars.com a while back and wasn't that satisfied. My ad has below too much info. Most ads have too little. Using a photo to get more text space is pretty cool, but I overdid it.

I will resort to Ebay if it doesn't sell at some point. There is a lot of weirdness on Ebay and you really have to know how to set reserves, $10 starting price, keep the reserve to yourself( but put one in) and no "buy it now" option, and write a good ad, or you can get burned (buying or selling). It is worth remembering that ebay is an advertising medium and you don't have to sell something if you don't like the way it is going. The best advice there is to be honest and it should come through in your ad. It is hard to argue with the huge immediate audience you can reach on Ebay.

Good luck, Dave in Denver
