Shawn,

I intalled a 1,000 watt inverter in my Vanagon a few months ago and am now
discovering that it places a small load on the aux. battery even when "off"
and not in use. Don't know why this is or if the inverter is defective, but
it's something to be aware of if you're not already. Also, having done it
now,  my feeling is that 1KW is WAY more capacity than you need. I had
visions of the wife using a hairdryer, ha ha...
