Go to Walmart. Buy heavy duty ground strap. Bolt one end to body of vehicle. Attach other end to a body piercing (ear, nose, etc.). Now you can safely leave the vehicle without getting that nasty shock. Of course you need to remember to unhook yourself from the grounding strap after your egress or you will be in for another shock of the non-electric type. Is it Friday yet?

anyone else get shocked from static electricity everytime you get out of your drivers seat? i just installed the 89 wolfy front seats in my van (all velour, even the sides and backs, no vinyl) and now i get a nasty static electric shock when i put my left hand on the dogleg as i exit the van.. is there a way to prevent this?
