Frankenwagen is going to go to the junkyard. It runs perfectly
well. I've had so many people flake out on me about buying it. I'd
rather part it out then to drop the price much more. So if you know
anyone in Seattle that would like to keep this funky wagen on the
road, shoot me an email.
Here are the specs:
1983 Diesel Vanagon GL that magically runs on unleaded.
Not so fast there slick, some lunkhead converted it to a 1.8 engine.
Pretty torqueilious with the 4 speed MANUAL transmission. It's blue
with only a few small dents. One medium kind of but it's a big van,
so it would be considered small in proportion to the van itself. I
was kind enough to have a professional put in a low mileage engine
back in 2002. It's from a 1990 Fox. It's done right. Two barrel
carb. Chrome air breather thing. Rock on. Vacuum ignition thing.
Good compression. Will not pop WHEELIES and will run the 1/04 mile
in the low 11's.
Needs a muffler. Well, I don't think so but the government probably
would like you to put one on it and maybe even a cat.
4 good tires.
2 snow tires with rims, yee haw!
Headlights that light
Heater that works
Stereo with 4 working speakers (a little unconventional but you will
be able to appreciate my brilliant ingenuity)
Seats seven with WORKING seat belts
Needs nothing major but a little love never hurt anybody
$1500 or it dies a horrible fiery death, then gets crushed. Then put
in a landfill by a wetland. In Jersey. With it's four beautiful old
school VW hubcaps. And it's grill, oh it's sweet smiling face, with
only a few little age lines. Twenty three is so young. It was only
1 year from being emission exempt. Almost old enough to get a
collector car plate. Perfect for the VW poseur who doesn't know how
to adjust valves.
Located in Washington state.
Sunday Bloody Sunday for the cool blue bus.
