I just came in from my storage garage where I started my van engine for the first time in two months. Although it started easily with no accelerator pressure and idled smoothly for about five minutes. When I attempted to give it a little accelerator the revs took off and nearly red lined. I quickly shut it off and tried it two more times with the same results. It appears that the metal rod beneath the accelerator pedal is stuck in the down position. How do I free it up? Can it be done from within the cab or must I drop the spare and work from underneath the van ? Your help please. Thank you. SAM --------------------------------- Talk is cheap. Use Yahoo!
