Hi Mark, I beg to differ on the question of the weight of the bed. The plywood used in the upper bunk is very heavy.... I bet the wood used weighs at least 40 or 50 lbs. A friend of mine has recently acquired these parts; I'll see if he can weigh them for us so we'll know for sure.
