hmmmmm.. zolt.. we were just discussing the hard way VS easy way. the way u describe is the hard way. the hard way is pointless, because you CAN make a upper bunk by doing it the easy way, and have 75% less work. and you get to keep your a/c. the easy way is doable in a weekend with some minimalistic power tools.. the hard way is not. what are ya gonna do, try to pass it off as a real westy? no. wanna give yourself a hernia from lifting 400 lbs of roof metal?? wanna spend hours cutting and welding and painting? no.. so do it the easy way, spend your time and money on camping trips and using the poptop rather than welding, painting etc..
