Regarding this Thread, I for one had a 70 degree thermo in my 85gl 1.9 l and noticed this after replacing the water pump, I was like wow thats a low thermo, replaced it with a 87 degree and seems I started to run kinda hot, middle of needle.. I used the 70 during some of the hottest times here in Vegas well over 115 outside and got hot, but not like this 87 thermo i have now.. water pump? thermo stuck open? BTW seems my coolent crossover tube near the pump desided to give up the ghost also and start to leak a bit from the tube, never hitting the ground at all just PITA drip from it making a bit of a mess, like to keep motor looking clean so it drive me nuts.. I replace the pump/thermo 87degree /bottle sender.. I get about middle of needle in traffic, then fan comes on and goes off. ok thats work.. no blinking at all!!
