Hey Shawn. I just bought an 81 Westy. It came w/o water key. I had my water key made by a local locksmith. And as Mark said, this guy had a bunch of keys to try first. FWIW, take out the water inlet as a unit and give that to locksmith. Much easier for him; cheaper for you. One other minor point. After key is made, make sure lock washer for tumbler nut is on correctly. Mine came loose pretty quickly (no gripes with locksmith, he really "swat" over making key) on mine.....
