On my '85 Westy (same basic wiring) I set it up so the aux battery runs the interior lights, the radio, and the cigarette lighter. First ... disconnect the batteries so you don't create any arcs and sparks. I removed fuses 8 and 9 (and left them out) then put the piggyback type of connectors on the "Far" side of the fuse block (where the wires come in and go out) on the side downstream of the fuses (accessory side) so I could run power from the aux battery to these locations. I then ran 2 fused wires (you could do it with one and use a jumper where you added the piggybacks) up to the piggyback connectors and now the aux powers everything that used to use fuses 8 and 9.
