I was following the recent thread on trash from the gas tank clogging the pump and wanted to make sure I understand the cleaning options. I have an air compressor. Someone mentioned blowing air through the pump. I assume you would blow from the engine side towards the tank side? Seems like the other way would just force the trash in and clog more. Any recommendations of pressure? Also, I seem to recall someone reversing the wires so the pump would pump backwards. Did I imagine this or is it a real option? Seems like this would do a good job of removing trash. Thanks, Mike 87 2.1L |
