Good guess. I bought one a half hour ago for $6. The yard had a fresh row of cars, including a1992 Passat. I pulled the 99 relay and a couple other things. It was starting to rain as I left so I installed it and it worked fine. Now I am going to have to get them for all my vanagons or take that one back out.
