Shawn, I actually haven't heard of a country called Latin America yet. =) As for alloys warping, I have seen this happen to my own Vanagon. The culprit was a lump on the casting on the rear drum. It worked fine with the steel wheels. No problem with the Carat alloys either. But when the wheel was torqued down over this bump by the local tire shop, the immediately result was a light wobble. After a few days of driving it that way, the wheel could no longer be balanced. Seems something must have warped outside of a sense of humor. BenT |
