Subject: Vanagonless -- Parts clearance and donation
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1
Sadly, my project TD Westy has sold, leaving me vanless for the first time
in ten years. I've still got a pile of various parts that didn't go with
the project that need to get out of my garage. Prices are flexible on what
I've listed and I'm open to offers for the whole batch. I'll ship the small
stuff at cost, but anything large will need to be picked up.
I've been on this list for about ten years, and I'll probably continue to
have the email drop into the limitless Gmail bucket and check in once in a
while. Over the years the list has been the irreplaceable knowledge base
that has kept my three vans running, and provided countless hours of
entertainment. In order to show my deep appreciation for the list I've got
two rare items that I'll sell (or auction if necessary) in order to donate
the proceeds back to the list.
First, is an original, NOS, 'Coolant H-pipe' for 1.9L vans. This isn't the
currently available reproduction piece, this is the real thing, VW part #025
121 038. This is the only car part in the world that my wife recognizes, as
she was the one driving the van (twice!) when the ones on my 1985 blew out.
$100 (with 100% going to the list!!)
Second, is the legendary cupholder/coin-tray for the vans with un-padded
dashboards. I got this with my 1984 van and kept it, even though I couldn't
use it on my 1985 (padded dash). This is the piece that velcros to the dash
in front of the passenger, but it can just as easily cover the ashtray. $50
(with 100% to the list)
Okay, here are the regular items I've got for sale. I'm located on the
north side of Columbus, OH. Again, I don't want to ship the big stuff, am
flexible on prices, and just need the stuff gone!
Light Brown standard van interior, from 1985 van $50
(includes sound deadening matt, middle carpet, middle seat with rails, rear
fold-forward seat and interior panels for rear rear and middle driver's
side. )
Rear axles from 1984 van, used $50
Rear hatch from dark-brown 1984 van with wiper. No glass $50
Gas tank from 1984 $25
Instrument cluster from 1985 85mph/clock $25
Coolant expansion tank w/cap from 1984 $15
Coolant crossover pipe, 1984 $10
1985 mass airflow sensor $75
Disc type hubcap $10
New Heater fan (still in box from bus depot) $75
Power steering resivoir from 1985. $10
Rear heater cover from late van $20
