At Costco, I have watched several times, where the supervisor comes over
after the wheels are installed, & personally torques the lug nuts in the
correct pattern. They don't let the tire jockey do it, although these guys
were not young kids but experienced looking volks. I can't say that for
other places I have gone.
Your mileage may vary.
Tom-what size tires were they & did they have the proper load/sidewall
ratings?
