Jake, you claimed average 24 mpg highway for your 2.1 Westy. Lots of people have had tanks of gas where they got better than normal, but no other Westy owner claimed anything like what you do. I did not see anyone else claim more than 18-19 for a 2.1 Westy.

This thread started with someone saying they were now only getting 12 in an 84 Westy and asking what was normal. If you claim that 24 mpg for a 1986 Westy 2.1 is normal then I say you are very wrong. If you say it has happened at times, then I can believe it. Why you need to turn this into some brag fest I don't get. The poster wanted to know what he should expect. If he now expects anything like your numbers he will be very disappointed.
