my 1987 vanagon was leaking oil and transmission fluid.
my mechanic changed the gaskets on transmission and O ring on oil.
i had him put in synthetic oil also.


 i am still having leakage of both fluids and today when accelerating
i lost power for a few seconds.       never happened before.


in the archives i found this can happen when oil is overfilled.
yes, i checked and its about 1/8 inch over the max fill line.


maybe the transmission fluid was overfilled also.
maybe thats why the seals are still leaking.


am i thinking crazy--would overfilling by a little bit cause these things?
