Subject: Re: Replacing antenna?

I cant remember how I replaced my antena, but ,once again there is the vanagon way.Any other way is impossiable. I think I only needed to remove the dash cluster.I can say that I used the BD antenna for 1 year and like it. This is the more expensive of the two they offer.I tried the cheap antenna, but it fell apart before I got it installed.Never did figure out how it works. I sent it back. The chrome was flaking off in the plastic package. I think the expensive antenna is about $12. Like I say, I installed it last year and have not even needed to pulled the antenna up,let alone tighten it or something. Origional vanagon antennas look funny.Always bent,or broken off.
