The Vanagon gas tank is a saddle design. If you drive on lots of dusty, western roads, like I have, you'll build up a thick layer of dust in the saddle. A little moisture in winter and there it goes--rust. This over 15 years. So you can drive every day and still have gas tank problems with a 2wd Vanagon.... Richard A Jones Boulder, Colorado |
