Howdy Did go over the car with a hammer yesterday. Seems still quite solid in much of the sills, crossmembers etc. Will get cutting soon, and see if it is go or no-go. The weird thing, is that even it is rusty - it isnt that much worse than the other cars I've seen here in Denmark. But this is the first car where I've been going at it so hard - normally you dont bring out a hammer and a chisel when examing somebody elses car before you buy it..... Well, next time I'll go see a car, I WILL bring the hammer and chisel, though.... As well as pop the interior panel-covers - that area is a dead give-away for rust detection. /JJ |
