Volks, I thought would update everyone on my "R-TDI" conversion that I am doing to my 1986 Syncro Westfalia.
- VNT-20 turbo manifold is done. - Intake system / intercooler is done. - Pistons are off to the machine shop getting the compression lowered to 17.5:1 - The van is at the body shop getting all traces of rust removed a few body modifications and a fresh coat of paint.
This weekend will involve getting the wire harness prepped and the immobilizer removed from the ECU.
A picture journal of the conversion can be found at: http://www.hasenwerk.ca/syncrortdi/default.shtml
If anyone has any questions about the process, please let me know!
Cheers!
