Forget the MOT, think about your own safety and sanity. Jens, as much as I admire your courage, PLEASE just walk away from that rust pit! There must be another Vanagon in Europe with a decent body and a toasted motor. I'm sure we'd all be much happier to work through the van with you if you were going to end up with something really nice!
