Tom: I think it is a last name. In Hungary, the usual way to write a name is surname first. Zoltan: I agree with you for the most part, but things are rarely simple. Transyvania has had many owners over the years and like many areas of the world, the current owners try to be the majority by deporting the previous owners (or worse), and settling the area with their own. I am not suggesting that you are wrong in what you are asking for, just saying that it's complicated. I spent a few weeks there last year and I agree about its beauty. I, however, didn't have a Vanagon at my disposal. Hungary, is doing well economically and makes quite a contrast to Rumania (Romania), which borders on being 3rd world. This is not the fault of the common folks who are wonderful in both Hungary and Rumania. It is caused mostly by the personal ambitions of their political leaders. Mike |
