Oop's - at first I thought you might have stepped
on a slug.

Falling pedal can be the master cylinder,  but
since you mentioned having recent brake work,
if they replaced the rear shoes,  they may have
not pre-adjusted them after installation.

The symptom you describe can happen if the rear
shoes are'nt adjusted out to the drum and then
backed out slightly after first installed.

Look there first, and if the shoes are adjusted
right, they will self -adjust properly . If the
sinking pedal still persists,  then it's the
master cylinder most likely . I recently replaced
my 23 year old MC with sinking pedal.
