Searching the primordial ooze that is the Vanagon.com mailing list archives is a poor substitute for an organized, edited, and continually updated collection of Vanagon wisdom, such as that found at John Meeks' excellent BTDT.

Here's a nice step-by-step of the CV R&R penned by our very own Unca Joel Walker: http://www.vanagonauts.com/%5B42.7%5D-Constant-Velocity-(CV)-Joints140.htm

When you're done fixing your CVs, feel free to go back and add to Joel's procedure any helpful advice you may have learned along the way. And anyone who finds the procedures offered at BTDT helpful can 'pay it forward' by posting a completely NEW repair they may have tackled and for which there is not yet a write-up.
