Without that tack weld, the bushings can start turning in the arm. Will quickly wear and get loose. Find someone with a welder and bring the arms to them after the bushings are in. For the camber, get a magnetic protractor, place on the rotor flange and measure before and set to that same reading after. A proper wheel alignment is in order after any suspension work.

Can I do the upper wishbone bushes without a welder?

My idea was just to cut the old tack welds, whack the old bushings out, insert the new bushings by hand, and re-assembly.

Can that be done?

And how do I set the camber? Best effort?
