Subject: Strange water dripping from AC cabinet; not condensation
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed

Got in the van today and water was dripping from the passenger side of the AC cabinet in the back of the '86 Westy. It was coming from the area where the condensation hose goes out that side. Looked like maybe 1/2 to 1 cup of water had dripped. There was a little dripping on the driver's side too. I haven't used the AC in more than a year since it is broken. I popped the top and got in the upper bunk: dry. canvas had a few small wet spots even though I am always careful to tuck it in when I put the top down. It was a little wet around the big hinges at the back. The van was parked in the rain last night pointed nose downhill, and tilted a little toward the driver's side.

I took off the rear quarter panel vents and checked the drain hoses fro the AC cabinet. Fine. I even squirted a bunch of water into the AC cabinet with the garden sprayer, and it all came out the drain hoses on both sides, like it's supposed to.

Any Ideas where the mystery water is coming from?

thanks, Edward
