The tricky part is this... even though David might have dyno results, comparing them side by side to ours isn't really useful unless they were on the very same dyno, and if you're a stickler on the same day (for similar conidtions). (So David get down here for a visist! and show us your tdi!!) For instance the GoWesty hp/dyno numbers are calculated flywheel numbers taken from a Dynapack dyno... these aren't comparable to the dynojet numbers that we have for instance (they will read higher than the dynojet esp since they remove the wheels/tires to run it then backcalculate the flywheel hp). I'm writing an article for our website explaining this in detail, and showing some calculations to bring some of the results into a normalized form for comparision, and so that vanagon folks will have a much better handle on how to read published/advertised power numbers.
