Subject: Re: Mystery Loss of Power At Startup

If you have brakes that are adjusted too tight, you will know it in 1 or 2 miles. Lots of excessive heat at the wheels just from driving. If it is real bad, you will get smoke, and soon.It only takes a few clicks of the adjuster to get brakes too tight.I adjusted mine to where it takes one or two clicks more, for brake drag Just a few. Is it your e-brake that was just adjusted? The proceedure is to get your brakes properly adjusted first. After this, pull up on the parking brake lever and check the total notches it takes till on full. Release the handle and adjust th 10mm nut where the parking brake cables come together.Tighten it to get a tighter handle.

I say check your timing and throttle valve adjustment ,and air screw for idle air bypass.Good luck
