I agree. This problem is more frequent on the vintage bus list where vehicles have sat for 10-20 years. I removed the tank on my 65 Westy which had been sitting for 7-8 years, & flushed it out w/ no problems(the air was still in the tires also). However there are ways to knock all the rust loose (put a chain or ball bearings/rocks in the tank & shake, then drain), clean it out, etc. & I believe that POR-15 has a product for coating/sealing rust in the inside of a tank to keep gamboo from getting into the filter.

Tom-unleaded regular $2.16/gal +_ here-think it will last?
