My scuff guard at the very opening of the sliding door on my 85 Westy is now officially a casualty of my restoration. Anybody have any ideas for a replacement?

This is the manilla plastic scuff guard that bridges the gap between the Westy camper floor and the edge of the metal floor.

I have already tried an aluminum one from a 90 GL - it doesn't work well.
