I removed the fridge in my '90 Westy last year when I installed a propane furnace, which is hooked up where the fridge used to be. You can turn off the gas at the tank for removal, but you will have to deal with the line where the fridge was hooked up. Rather than leave the fridge door and frame in place, I removed it all. My porta-potti fits in the space perfectly and there is still room above for two slide-out trays with plastic baskets attached. Jerry
