We had one at the VFD that I am part of. We used it as a grass truck, a truck with a big(at the time) water tank and a fire pump used for fighting grass fires..It took a little getting used to driving it. Sitting up high and in front-over the wheels. I would think it was like driving a halflinger. I would think the approach angle would have been good, if not scary on some hills. A local guy bought, repainted it after removing the fire fighting equipment and has not put it back together. It has been sitting like that for several years. I know he didn't pay much for it. My BIL's VFD is going to sell a old powerwagon and a duce and half sometime in the future as they are getting some new trucks. I have heard the 2 1/2 ton may go for a couple of thousand. Fire trucks don't get a lot of miles. The new ones are between $100k and $200k depending on what you get.

I should go hit up the guy with the FC but I am sure he would want $33000 for it like a vanagon camper *>)
