Mike,

I doubt that the stud is your stuck head problem. The Heads stick to the tops of the cylinders.

On each cylinder there are "Ears". They are oriented so that the ones on cylinder #1 face the ones on cylinder #2 and so on. There are also ears on the opposite sides ... outboard. You can use an open end wrench and fit the jaws between an ear and the head and use the wrench as a fulcrum to pry the heads loose ... working from ear to ear.

Often, it helps to first tap on the ears from the bottom and the top in an effort to "Spin" (not much now) the cylinder a bit which results in breaking its hold on the head.
