OK, so I am undertaking a front-to rear replacement of all the rubber in the fuel delivery system. This includes all of the tank seals (including the crossover tube) as well as all of the fuel lines on the engine. The fuel lines in the engine compartment look to be ORIGINALS (except for one piece), with the crimped on clamps. I began replacing them, and came upon a problem. The cracked, rotted hoses that go from the black plastic fuel rail to the injectors have no actual clamp at the injector, just a metal ring. Which brings me to a question: Can I just use a standard clamp at the injector? Or is there some other sort of attachment system that I need to use at the injector itself? These things area a bear to get off, but they have been in place for 22 years so I really don't know why I am surprised. Safety first, you know.
