Why are you dreading putting some mileage on the Westy? Isn't that what
you own it for? If you have two good drivers, you can make it to the
east coast in 2-3 days. Time does damage too many things anyway so you
might as well use it unless you are afraid of the unknown. Everything
rubber including hoses and tires and suspension bushings has age limits.
Use the van and enjoy it.

Hmmm, interesting idea, however the plan was to drive/camp for 2-3 weeks
back to Salt Lake City via Montreal weather agreeable, or via D.C if the
weather isn't.
Just looked at the web site & at $750/week, I could rent for 10 days for
the
cost of shipping my westy! Hmmmm, we would have to change our itinerary,
but
we always do that anyway! I think I will see if any are available? My 84
westy only has 91K on it, & I was dreading putting another 5-6k on it
just
for phun/abuse.
Stay tuned for the next chapter of yours/ours or theirs-Westy Edition.
Tom-do they have one in yellow so we can be at home?
