It may be now, but because the source material is renewable and the prices for infrastructure and chemistry are relatively fixed if demand were to increase B100 should move towards $2.50-2.75/gal.

I think I remember reading that both ethanol and biodiesel become affordable as the cost of oil per barrel breaches about $62 per barrel.

I think I mistyped with the $2.25 numbers.
