Hey Bob,

I did my conversion on both my 85 GL and also have done it on 2 Ford vans (one 82, one 93) and a 94 Jeep. All of them had temps MUCH lower than that coming out of the vents.

On my 85, I ran into probs with blockage in the drier which led to me flushing the entire system and replacing the long AC lines from the back to the front. Had to have them custom made...

Do you have gauges on the high and low sides? I remember vaguely that i had too much pressure in the system with a surprisingly low amount of gas in the system. Not good for cooling- I had to drain some off to get better readings.
