Subject: Help with 83 Westy
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

I posted about this Westy on the list last year. Two ladies came from Britian to Canada and bought what they thought was an awesome 83 Aircooled Westy with a brand new rebuilt engine built by a local rebuilder. Their dream was to tour the US and Canada with their westy and then sell it before they went back home. They made it from Toronto area to NJ and the engine went (not sure of what is wrong with it but it is in need of a rebuild at the least). A local mechanic called me and told me the story. The ladies made other arrangements and left the van with him. They are trying to get $2200 for it as is. It has a Canada title but the mechanic says he can get a NJ title for it no problem. He wants me to buy it to get it out of his shop. I am busy right now and I really don't have the time/money for another project. Is anyone else interested in it? Or does anyone have a great condition 2.0l aircooled engine for sale? If I could find one of them so that I could just put it in and sell the van, I might be interested in that. Any help?
