The double oil filter gasket sounds good to me.I did this once, myself.Lost
lots of oil in only a few miles. Oil will drop directly on the exhaust
pipes and make lots of smoke.Dont know about the engine cutting off though?
Does a 2,1 cut off when the oil pressure gets too low?
