Subject: where did that wire go?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

there's a brown wire with yellow connector that hangs right above the thermostat housing that i believe is called a "Idle Stabilizer Control valve connection" by bently. unfortunately while i was troubleshooting i disconnected it and the right side connector pulled clear off of whatever it was connected to.

i've pulled apart the group of wires that it seemed to be connected to and couldn't find any trace of this thing.

i'm pretty sure that it somehow connects to the idle computer, though i'm not sure what the other side connects to.

on that note, the van idles much better with it disconnected. it seems to hunt up and down otherwise.

when i disconnected the idle computer i could hear something rattling around but i haven't taken it apart yet to see if it's something i can solder back on.

anyone know about this mystery wire?

Thanks again, Steve - 86 GL
