After discovering several hidden coolant hose "time bombs" while swapping in
a rebuilt, I replaced every single hose in the system. Doing it all myself I
only paid for the hoses, but even that was over $500. Expensive, but I'd say
probably worth it-- particularly when you have no idea how many hoses the PO
"repaired" using odds and ends he found at a junkyard and "cheese grater"
style hose clamps.
