Hello, Two weeks ago we had a thread on monitoring the composition of exhaust gas to set the AFM. The Bostig Engineering folks reccomended this wide band unit: http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/lm1.php and they can be rented from www.aircooled.net I have looked into this gadget and realized that it measures the O2 content of the exhaust gas and reports the air:fuel mixture ratio. While this info is cool, the Bentley does not tell us what the ideal ratio is supposed to be. Bentley wants us to adjust the AFM based on the CO content of the exhaust gas (not measured with the above unit). So, does anyone have good data on what the air:fuel ratio is supposed to be? I have searched the web and found a couple of CO monitors running about $180. Anyone seen them cheaper than this? Thanks, Jake 1982 AC Westy |
